NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL PROPERTY

The Board of Commissioners of Cherokee County has authorized the sale by electronic auction of the following parcel of real property:

[.99 acres more or less located in Bear Creek Subdivision, designated as Lot 16. Deed recorded in Book 01291, Page 0659, in the office of the Register of Deeds of Cherokee County, North Carolina]

Pursuant to G.S. 160A-270 authorizes the Board of Commissioners to sell real property at public auction including electronic auction, upon adoption of a resolution authorizing the appropriate official to dispose of the property at public auction subject to Board acceptance of the highest bid.

The County Manager or his designee (Purchasing Officer) is authorized by a resolution of the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners adopted on September 20, 2018 to sell the property listed above by electronic auction at www.govdeals.com

A bid deposit is not required. Payment in full must be made electronically through GovDeals website. Upon final approval by the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners, property will be transferred to successful buyer within 30 days by a North Carolina Special Warranty Deed. Buyer will be required to pay excise tax and deed recording fees.

The County Manager or his designee (Purchasing Officer) is direct to have published a notice of the sale at least once and not less than 30 days before the date on which bidding opens. Notice begins May 9, 2019.
Bidding will open at 8:30 A.M. on June 10, 2019 and will close at 7:00P.M. on July 10, 2019.

The county reserves the right to withdraw the property from sale at any time and the right to reject all bids.
