There will be a Special DSS
Board Meeting held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 5:00pm. The meeting will be held
in the Cherokee County DSS Conference Room. The meeting will begin with an open
session. The meeting will then go in to closed session to consult with an
attorney employed or retained by the social services board in order to preserve
the attorney-client privilege, pursuant to G.S. 143-138.11(a)(3), and to consider the
qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of
appointment, or conditions of initial employment of the county social services
director or to hear or investigate a complaint, charge or grievance by or
against the county social services director or a county social services
employee, pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6).
