Vaccines for Children (VCF) Eligibility Criteria
Some vaccines are only free for persons who are eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. To be eligible, children must be 18 years of age or younger and meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Medicaid eligible
- American Indian
- Alaskan Native
- Underinsured (Private insurance coverage does not include vaccines)
All requires vaccines and many recommended vaccines are available at the Health Department. Some are free of charge for certain high-risk groups and others are available for a fee.
CCHD does not provide travel immunizations. Please visit Clay County Health Department (828)389-8052 or Macon County Public Health Center (828)349-2081 for the most commonly needed travel immunizations.
