Cherokee, Graham, Haywood, Jackson and Swain Counties, and the municipalities within those counties, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and other participating stakeholders, are now working to update the region’s multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The purpose of this Plan is to identify and assess our community’s hazard risks and determine how to best minimize or manage those risks. Upon completion, the Plan will represent a comprehensive multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for the region. This survey questionnaire provides an opportunity for you to share your opinions and participate in the mitigation planning process. The information you provide will help us better understand your hazard concerns and can lead to mitigation activities that should help lessen the impact of future hazard events.Robin Caldwell, DirectorCherokee County Emergency Services59 Hiwassee Street Suite 105Murphy, NC 28906828.837.7352 (o)828.837.5454 (f)
